Care Services at Rashwood
Short Stay or Respite Care
Many of our long-term residents have previously stayed with us on a short stay basis. There are many reasons for residents choosing a short stay – it may be that a carer will be away or requires a break for a period of time, or that a resident needs specialised care during a period of post operative recovery.
If you are thinking of making a move to Rashwood, short stays are also a great way to get to know us, our residents and staff and for us to get to know you. Whatever the reason for your stay, you will be afforded the same high standards of care and assessment as our longer-term residents, with the opportunity to get involved in all we have to offer and make new friends along the way.
Residential Care
Many of our residents lead full and active lives, yet welcome the 24 hour a day security of a professional, personalised care environment and the opportunity to live in a welcoming, safe and supportive community.
We support residents to retain as much of their independence and mobility as possible, encouraging them to enjoy trips to places of interest, enjoy local entertainment, or simply visit the local shops.
Nursing Care
As well as personal care, Rashwood offers expert nursing care. Our highly experienced nursing team offers medical care to our residents 24hrs/day, including the specialised support required for chronic and terminal illnesses.
End of Life Care
Quality of life is as much a right for the terminally ill as for everyone else; at Elizabeth Finn Homes we believe that compassionate care for both the chronically and terminally ill can improve the quality of their lives. At Rashwood we provide for those who are terminally ill, with care that focuses on the control of pain and symptoms in a calm and comforting environment.
