The Lodge CQC rated overall outstanding seeks to recruit to the following role:
Care Assistant shift times of 19.45-07.45, 1 night per week plus 1 twilights (approx. 17.00-23.00) but flexible and discussed at interview
£13.99- £14.24 per hour plus excellent benefits
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during visits
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events
- Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for all residents
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need
