Messing about on the water
Earlier this month our residents at Halliwell enjoyed a lovely day out on the River Medway. A cool breeze kept the heat at bay and there was prosecco on hand to make it an even more special outing.
Just a short drive from our home, the River Medway is a 70 mile waterway that flows through Kent, passing Tonbridge, Maidstone and the Medway towns before it reaches the Thames Esturary at Sheerness.
The river valley is rich in history and nature providing habitats for various local wildlife. We were delighted to spot an elusive kingfisher whilst enjoying many local sights and beautiful scenery along the way. Some of us even got the opportunity to steer the boat!
Thank you to the crew and staff for making it such an enjoyable day.
