Food at Grove Court

At Grove Court, mealtimes combine good food with beautiful surroundings. Residents can dine in either of our two light-filled dining rooms, with large windows offering views towards the River Deben. Patio access allows meals to be enjoyed outside in warmer weather, while a grand piano adds character to one of the dining spaces.

Our chefs create varied menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients wherever possible, balancing familiar favourites with new dishes to try. Every menu can be adapted around residents’ tastes, appetites and dietary needs. Meals are ordered at the table for a relaxed, restaurant-style experience, although residents are equally welcome to dine in their own rooms.

Dining at Grove Court

Food plays an important role in residents’ comfort, health and enjoyment of everyday life at Grove Court. Our chefs take time to understand individual tastes, favourite dishes and changing appetites, preparing fresh meals that are appealing, nourishing and enjoyable.

Regularly changing menus provide a balance of familiar favourites and seasonal choices. Residents are offered plenty of variety, while allergies, specialist diets, cultural requirements and personal preferences can all be accommodated. Grove Court also holds a 5-star food-hygiene rating, demonstrating the high standards maintained by our catering team.

Our chefs work alongside the care and nursing teams to ensure each resident receives food and drink suited to their individual needs. This may include adapting ingredients, textures or portion sizes while continuing to make every meal attractive and full of flavour.

Friends and family are welcome to join residents for meals, birthdays and other special occasions. Our chefs can create a tailored menu for a celebration, helping residents mark meaningful moments with the people closest to them in familiar and comfortable surroundings.
