Care Services at Halliwell
Short Stay Care
Many of our long-term residents have previously stayed with us on a short stay basis. There are many reasons for residents choosing a short stay – it may be that a family member or carer will be away or requires a break for a period of time, or that a resident needs specialised care during a period of post operative recovery.
A short stay is also a great way to experience life at Halliwell prior to making a permanent move. Whatever the reason for your stay, you can be assured of a warm welcome, a comfortable, enjoyable stay with the highest standards of support and care.
Residential care
Many of our residents lead full and active lives, yet welcome the peace of mind and security of 24 hour a day professional, personalised care and the opportunity to enjoy the company of others in a warm, welcoming and inclusive community. We know how important it is to maintain local connections and personal independence. We always support residents to retain as much independence and mobility as possible with exercise , social activities and regular trips in our specially adapted minibus to places of interest and entertainment, or simply to the local shops.
Nursing Care
As well as maintaining the highest possible standards of personal care, we also offer expert nursing care at Halliwell. Working closely with local health care professionals, our fully-qualified nursing staff are able to offer dedicated nursing care to our residents, 24 hours a day.
Nursing care goes beyond the everyday welfare of our residents to include such things as provision of post-operative care and specific nursing support for chronic and terminal illness.
End of Life Care
Halliwell has been awarded Platinum Status, the highest level achievable, under the prestigious Gold Standard Framework in recognition of its excellent end of life care. Quality of life is important for the terminally ill and those at the end of their life, at Elizabeth Finn Homes we believe that compassionate care for both the chronically and terminally ill is fundamentally important so that residents are supported and cared for to ensure maximum comfort at all times.
