Short-Stay and Respite Care

Short-stay care at Grove Court offers personalised support for a limited period, whether someone’s usual carer needs a break, their family is going away or they require additional care while recovering after an operation, illness or hospital stay.

Residents joining us for a short stay receive the same attentive, person-centred care as those living with us permanently. They can enjoy our comfortable accommodation, freshly prepared meals, landscaped gardens and full programme of activities, with plenty of opportunities to socialise and make new friends.

A respite stay can also provide a helpful introduction to life at Grove Court for anyone considering permanent residential or nursing care.

Residential Care

Residential care at Grove Court provides 24-hour support in a safe, comfortable and welcoming home. It may be suitable for someone who can no longer live independently but does not require regular nursing care. Our experienced team offers personalised help with everyday needs while respecting each resident’s choices, routines and preferences.

We encourage residents to retain as much independence and mobility as possible. Depending on individual interests and abilities, residents can take part in activities and entertainment within the home, enjoy outings to local places of interest or visit the nearby shops.

Nursing Care

Nursing care at Grove Court combines personalised support with 24-hour care from our qualified nursing team. It may be suitable for residents with complex health needs, long-term medical conditions or reduced mobility who require regular monitoring and nursing assistance.

Working closely with GPs and other local healthcare professionals, our nurses develop an individual care plan for each resident. Support may include medication management, post-operative care and specialist nursing for chronic or life-limiting conditions.

Alongside residents’ clinical needs, our team considers their comfort, dignity, independence and emotional wellbeing, providing compassionate care within a warm and homely environment.

End-of-life care at Grove Court provides compassionate, personalised support for residents with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. Our focus is on managing pain and other symptoms while protecting each person’s comfort, dignity and quality of life.

Care is provided in a calm, familiar and supportive environment, with each resident’s individual wishes and preferences at the heart of their care plan. We also recognise the importance of supporting families and helping them spend meaningful time together.
