Debutots add joy to the day at Rashwood

Our home had a huge injection of vitality this week as we welcomed a group of toddlers from Debutots. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the buzz and excitement created by the children and it was heartwarming to see the generations come together, sharing stories, laughter, and lots of smiles.

Encouraging opportunities for intergenerational social interactions is an important part of our activity planning across our homes, it provides so many benefits for all participants. Sharing and learning skills, passing on knowledge and helping younger people understand the value and importance of our older generations, are just a few.

Joining Generations with Imagination is a Debutot project which partners residential care homes and pre schools or nurseries for intergenerational story sessions and imaginative play, fostering wonderful relationships and friendships between the generations.

The visit brought so much joy to everyone involved, creating special moments and wonderful memories for both the residents and the children. Thank you to Debutots and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.
