Last Night of the Proms adds touch of glamour at Merlewood

What a fabulous event at our Merlewood home in Virginia Water where our very own version of Last Night of the Proms brought a touch of glamour and some amazing musical talent for us all to enjoy.

Following in the footsteps of the famous BBC Proms classical music festival held at the Royal Albert Hall every September, our Merlewood evening was no less special and highly entertaining.

Over 70 guests and residents created a fabulous party atmosphere, dressing up for the occasion and singing along. We enjoyed over two hours of operatic favourites, musical theatre classics and beloved songs,finishing off with a grand finale and flag waving.

Strawberries and cream and jugs of Pimms were on hand for those needing refreshments and the weather couldn’t have been better.

Soprano Maria Kesselman and colleagues delighted the audience with their outstanding vocals and high energy.
