Celebrating Carers Week

Earlier this month we celebrated our amazing carers as part of Carers Week.

Led by Carers UK in partnership with other major charities, the annual awareness campaign ran from 8^th to 14^th June and highlighted the vital contributions of the UK’s unpaid carers.  The theme for this year’s campaign, backed by headline sponsor TSB Bank, focused on building carer friendly communities.

At Elizabeth Finn Homes our carers form the backbone of our staff teams with day-to-day roles that are both challenging and rewarding.  Our carers do not just provide support with care and daily living but build genuine and loving relationships with our residents helping them to live independent lives to the full.

We celebrated the week with some memorable days across all our homes, focusing on what makes our carers so special and why and just how big a role they play in how our roles operate and why they are so successful.  There were plenty of treats, cakes and a lot of fun enjoyed by everyone, with residents getting involved and paying their own tributes to those who support them every day.
