Strengthening our leadership team

We are delighted to welcome Ruth French and Julian Ide who join us as Non-Executive Directors, expanding the Board of Directors to a total of ten.

Ruth brings a wealth of expertise in social care as the owner and director of Stow Healthcare, an East Anglian care home group. With a background in change management and a former role as a civil servant in Whitehall, Ruth is recognised for her ability to foster innovation and excellence in the sector. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Outstanding Society, where she helps promote best practices among social care providers.

Ruth’s contributions to Skills for Care guidance have been instrumental in supporting care providers nationwide. In her first day in role, Ruth said: “It’s great to be able to support this social purpose company, learn from the team and share my social care knowledge.”

Julian, a long serving financial services professional with three decades of experience, most recently served as Vice Chair, EMEA at Franklin Templeton, where he managed strategic partner accounts across the region. Renowned for his inspiring leadership style, Julian has held prominent roles, including CEO of Martin Currie and Head of Distribution, EMEA at Franklin Templeton. His expertise in fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation will bring valuable perspective to Elizabeth Finn Homes’ strategic direction.

“This is a special organisation which creates loving homes for those in later in life, in partnership with Turn2us, through a unique profit for purpose model,” said Julian. “The Executive and Board are experienced, motivated and impressively focused on delivering outstanding homes for residents.”

These appointments come after an intensive recruitment process that attracted exceptional candidates, drawn to our unique profit-for-purpose ethos and ambitious vision for growth.

Thomas Lawson, Chair of Elizabeth Finn Homes, commented:
“We are thrilled to welcome Ruth and Julian to our Board. Their extensive experience and inclusive leadership will be invaluable as we push ahead our strategy, driving growth and care excellence while staying true to our commitment to social purpose.”
