Eversfield launches Blue Light Breakfast Club to thank local support services
This month our Eversfield home launched a Blue Light Breakfast Club inviting local blue light services to drop in for coffee and refreshments.
The theme of the event was ‘Nourishing the heroes who nurture our community’, with residents, families and staff all getting involved.
Blue Light services refer to those who work, or have worked, for the NHS, the emergency services, including the police, ambulance, fire & rescue, the teaching community, social care workers and the armed forces.
We were delighted to host team members of the Reigate Fire Service, part of the Surrey Fire & Rescue Service, and one of their fire engines which was parked outside the home. It created a lot of interest amongst residents and staff, who were able to have a look inside the vehicle and find out more about its capabilities. Everyone enjoyed meeting and chatting to our local heroes in a relaxed setting.
The event provided an opportunity to show our appreciation, build stronger connections and spread some community spirit.
Eversfield is committed to building strong relationships with local organisations and services and to playing a role in the community, where everyone can provide support for each other.
From community events and visiting entertainers to local partnerships and seasonal celebrations, the home continues to create opportunities that support wellbeing, companionship and a sense of belonging for residents.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a great success.
