Grove Court in the limelight

We were delighted to be part of a recent BBC News Suffolk story looking at what it takes to run an outstanding care home in the area.

Home Manager at Grove Court, Kelly Lockwood and her team recently received confirmation that the home had retained its Outstanding status with the Care Quality Commission, CQC. And at the same time Grove Court achieved a perfect 10 on Carehome.co.uk, the highest achievable review score.

The CQC Outstanding status indicates that staff at the home go above and beyond to ensure their residents are living life to the full and BBC reporter Alice Cunningham spoke to Kelly about what being ‘Outstanding’ really means.

Kelly was thrilled to be involved.  “Positive risk taking and allowing people to really live rather than just exist, is something I focus on each day as the Home Manager. Outstanding care should be the norm, it’s the above and beyond, person centered approach, that create an outstanding lifestyle and rating.”

Well done to Kelly and the team at Grove Court, we are all very proud.
