Visiting Buscot Gardens

Our residents had a lovely day out last week at Buscot Gardens, in Faringdon.

Buscot Park was built for Edward Loveden Townsend between 1779 and 1783 and has estate grounds spanning over 100 acres.   In 1956 the Buscot Park estate was bequeathed to the National Trust and the contents of the house were subsequently transferred to the Trustees of the Faringdon Collection.  The present Lord Faringdon lives at Buscot Park, administering the house and grounds on behalf of the National Trust.  

We had a very enjoyable day exploring the extensive gardens that surround the 18th century house including woodland walks and water gardens abundant with flora and fauna. The gardens were looking absolutely outstanding and our residents took in all the vibrant flowers and beautiful statues whilst enjoying the peaceful scenery.
