A glittering evening at our Annual Golden Hearts Awards
Colleagues came together for the second edition of our annual Golden Hearts Awards held at St Hilda’s College, Oxford on the evening of 3rd September.
The Golden Hearts Awards recognise service excellence, focusing on the dedication and hard work that goes into making our Elizabeth Finn Homes exceptional places to live and work. The awards highlight individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the organisation’s core values: Bring Love, Welcome All, Inspire More, and Act with Purpose.
Over 50 staff from all of our eight homes and Head Office were joined by judges Stephen Hall, Editor of Care Home Professional, Richard Ayes, Social Care Advisor to Care England, Trustee Turn2us, Joyce Frederick and Nathan Hollow, Deputy Managing Director of PLMR, along with Olivia Curno, EFH CEO and Tom Lawson, Chair of EFH and CEO of Turn2us.
The five award winners were chosen from quarterly award winners over the past year, with awards going to Guy Somerfield, Social Events Lead from The Lodge, Jules Cochran, Care Assistant at Grove Court, Paul Morgan, Maintenance Assistance at Merlewood while the Central Team Award went to Head of Nursing and Care, Michelle Francis. The overall Care Home of the Year Award went to Grove Court.
