Our Merlewood home hosted its second Annual Dog Show earlier this month and what a fantastic event it turned out to be!
The event brought together dogs of all sizes for a day of canine fun, making good use of Merlewood’s beautiful and extensive grounds. Dog owners, friends and family enjoyed a very entertaining afternoon with obstacle courses for the dogs, some fantastic stalls, refreshments and delicious homemade cakes from the Merlewood team.
The dogs competed in eight categories, showing off their personalities and abilities. There were plenty of wagging tails, happy faces and lots of laughter along the way. The weather was on our side staying warm and dry and the ice cream van proved very popular. Also on offer was some very special doggy ice cream from Wentworth Pet Supplies.
Residents really enjoyed the day and had prime viewing from the outside terrace area, lots of entertainment and interactions with both dogs and their owners of all ages, representative of the large dog walking community in the area.
Stressless Dog Training and Coaching, who hold their training classes on the Merlewood grounds, helped with the event and a huge thank you to Janet for being our wonderful judge and helping us choose our winners; not an easy task!
