Hooray for our brilliant Housekeepers

We celebrated International Housekeeping Week this September across all our homes.

Housekeeping Week celebrates the indispensable professionals who maintain cleanliness and order in so many environments. Our care home housekeepers have a really important role in ensuring that every space in our homes is cleaned to the highest of standards providing healthy, comfortable and welcoming spaces for everyone.

Their skills and commitment help to shape the feel and look of each home, not only making sure that first impressions count but that everything behind the scenes is pristine and hygienically safe too.  Our housekeepers play an important role in interacting with residents, understanding personal preferences and ensuring the small things are not forgotten.

Our housekeeping teams also play their part in helping to support residents with dementia, knowing how and where items should be placed and keeping things in check and familiar.

We wanted to recognise all our housekeeping staff and their hard work, often behind the scenes, which is so vital in so many ways and hope they enjoyed their special celebrations which included team breakfasts, gift bags, lots of baked goods and treats.
