A winning night for The Cotswold Home

The Cotswold Home, in Bradwell Village near Burford, won the Home of the Year at the Elizabeth Finn Homes inaugural Golden Hearts Awards held on 11th September at St Hilda’s College, Oxford.

The Golden Hearts Awards recognise service excellence, celebrating staff for their dedication and the hard work that goes into making Elizabeth Finn Homes exceptional places to live and work. These awards highlight individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the organisation’s core values: Bring Love, Welcome All, Inspire More, and Act with Purpose.

The Cotswold Home is one of eight residential homes owned and operated by Elizabeth Finn Homes. A purpose-built home with attractive gardens and courtyards, it provides residential, respite and end of life care for those in later life.

The whole home team demonstrated a remarkable team spirit and embodied the true values of Elizabeth Finn Homes throughout the past year. Showing absolute commitment, and an unwavering focus on the love and care for residents, living the values that reflect all that Elizabeth Finn Homes sets out to achieve.

“The Cotswold Home has an outstanding reputation, visitors and families consistently tell us the home is warm, welcoming and truly person-centred. This award is very much deserved,” comments Olivia Curno, Chief Executive, EFH. “Congratulations to all our Cotswold team, you are an inspiration to us all!”

An additional winner on the night was Lynne Hall, Clinical Training Coordinator, who was presented with the Silver Award, selected from the top three individual award winners. Lynne was nominated for her unwavering support to colleagues, her smiling and friendly disposition, and her deep commitment to both staff teams and residents, making daily life joyful. Professional, approachable, and encouraging, she exemplifies the very best of Elizabeth Finn Homes’ values in action.

The awards event was attended by over 50 colleagues from across the Elizabeth Finn Homes, including team members from across the homes nominated for their display of values and dedication, with quarterly winners representing our chefs, housekeepers, carers, reception, gardening, and maintenance teams. The awards were supported by a judging panel of industry experts, who described the entries as both moving and inspiring.
