Going Orange to Challenge Poverty: Our Homes Unite for Turn2us

Across our homes this week, residents and colleagues have been proudly taking part in Challenge Poverty Week by supporting the Go Orange for Turn2us campaign – raising awareness and funds to help tackle financial hardship across the UK. From sponsored walks to themed parties, our teams have gone above and beyond to support this vital cause, all while bringing plenty of colour, community spirit and creativity to their homes.

As a profit for purpose company, we’re proud to work in partnership with the national charity Turn2us, supporting their mission to help people across the UK gain access to the financial support they need.

Grove Court: Walking (and Wheeling!) for Change

At Grove Court, residents and staff teamed up for a sponsored “walk or wheel” around the home’s beautiful grounds. With an impressive 34 participants taking part, together they completed an incredible 120 laps! The event brought everyone together for a great cause, showing that every step, or wheel, counts in helping to challenge poverty.

Merlewood: Making Waves for a Great Cause

Meanwhile, our Merlewood Mermaids have been making a splash in support of Turn2us! Debbie, General Manager, and three other Merlewood team members took part in this year’s Windsor Lions Swimathon, raising an amazing £235 so far through sponsorship. Their energy and enthusiasm truly reflect the spirit of teamwork and giving back.

The Lodge: Turning Orange in Style

At The Lodge, staff have been celebrating their very own Employee of the Month, Katie, by going all out with an orange-themed celebration! Katie and General Manager, Deb, even dressed up as the fruit itself – all in good fun and in support of Turn2us. Their bright and cheerful energy perfectly captures the essence of the Go Orange campaign.

Rush Court: Creativity and Community

Over at Rush Court, residents and staff have been busy crafting orange-coloured decorations to kick off their week of fundraising fun. Their plans include an orange-themed lunch, an afternoon party, and of course, plenty of orange outfits! The home is buzzing with excitement as everyone comes together to support such an important cause.

Together, we’re proud to have gone orange for Turn2us this Challenge Poverty Week – proving that small actions can make a big difference.
