Jesse Webb’s 104th Birthday

On Thursday 25th July we celebrated an annual event which gains more importance every year, the birthday of our oldest resident, Mr Jesse Webb. At 104 years old Jesse has enjoyed an incredible life and this year it was established that he is now the oldest Royal Marine in the world! Serving and ex-marines from all corners of the globe were told about this event and some came to wish a happy birthday in person, bringing a brilliant cake with them. Jesse also received a haul of cards not unlike the amount Santa must get in the run up to Christmas. A big thank you goes out from Jesse and everyone here at Grove Court for the kind birthday wishes he has received and those who helped make the day so special.
