Love is All Around

Residents at the luxury Merlewood Care Home in Virginia Water woke to a Valentine’s surprise on Thursday as each received a red rose and a heart shaped chocolate on their breakfast tray.

Whilst there were no surprise proposals of marriage, residents did enjoy a relaxing day in each other’s company, reminiscing about romance over the years.

Lunch was one of many themed meals that Merlewood prepares as part of its lively programme of social activity. The Valentine special was a tasty three-course meal served with a glass of chilled pink champagne.
